City High School has started the season off with a record of 28-13, with another loss coming from yesterdays meet. Second ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy shot a score of 149, along with City High. With Kennedy winning the tiebreaker.
“It was a tough loss. we played well, but not our best. Kennedy is second in the state and that gives us something to think about,” Ryan Duncan ’12 said.
Strong leaders of the meet include Ryan Duncan 37, Grant Simpson 37, Coale Cooper 37, and Patrick Jordan with a 38.
Kennedy looked strong at the meet, being led by Mitchell Martin who shot a 35.
City High’s next meet is Tuesday at Hunters Ridge.
