The Little Hawk Wins 25 IHSPA Awards

The Iowa High School Press Association announced Wednesday that City High’s The Little Hawk student newspaper will receive 25 awards, including 11 1st place awards.

The Little Hawk won top honors in many of the contest’s major categories, including News Story, Staff Editorial, and Overall Website. The paper also had first-place finishes for In-Depth News Story, Local Column, National Column, Personality Profile, Podcasts, Photo Story, and News Photo.

All winners will receive certificates recognizing their achievement. They will also be honored next fall at the association’s state convention.
