“The Foreigner” is about Englishman Charlie Baker who finds himself in a lodge in Georgia, trying to clear his mind of his terminally sick wife. In his depression, he begs his best friend on government assignment, Froggy LeSueur, to help him avoid speaking with anyone. When Froggy tells the residents that Charlie is from a foreign country, they become at ease with sharing their secrets around him.
The cast list introduces freshman Genevieve Wisdom as a lead in the seven person cast.
“I’m really honored to be cast!” Wisdom, ‘17, said. “I’m greatly looking forward to getting together with the cast and finding out how the other actors play their roles.”
“I’m looking forward to how my interpretation of Ellard will develop,” Jared Kilberger, ‘15, said. “I’m extremely excited.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to have seen the show, and I love it.” Elijah Jones, ‘14, said. “Its one of my favorite plays. The role of Charlie is a privilege, and I will have to work really hard to keep up with the talent of the rest of the cast. I look forward to the challenge.”
“The Foreigner” opens Thursday, October 24th, and runs through Sunday, October 26th.
