Callbacks for Grease are posted on the bulletin board outside Opstad and in the main foyer. Out of the 103 students who auditioned, 34 were called back.

“When you see that many students, some of them you need to see more than once. Some of them, you want them to sing something different to see if it fits their vocal range. Some of them I’ve never met before and I want to see them read certain parts. It’s an opportunity for us to see some kids again,” Havilah Peters said.

However, a callback doesn’t guarantee a part in Grease. A couple of Grease’s leading roles have already been cast.

Although the cast size is currently being negotiated, as of now, roughly 2/3 students who auditioned for Grease will not make the cast list.

“We had some outstanding auditions and that’s why we’re evaluating how big we can go, because we don’t know how to cut everybody,” Peters said.

Students who have been called back are to go to the choir room at 3:30 today.
