It’s spring break. You’ll have time on your hands, so use your time wisely to prepare for Film Fest. Here are the top ten things you should do to be ready:

  1. Know the date – May 6th, 7:00pm in Opstad Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30
  2. Know the deadline for submissions – April 29th
  3. Make a costume – you’ll get a discount on admission. All the cool kids wear costumes.
  4. Buy a film fest button. “They’re pretty frickin’ cool,” Joseph Cress ‘16 said. They will also help you get your discount. Ask Mr. Cress for details.
  5. Spread the word to people you know about film fest. The more the merrier.
  6. Learn about the history of film fest: this great tradition began in room 1812, the hallowed grounds of one Dan Sabers.
  7. Make a video to submit. You could win one of the coveted, hand-crafted, artisanal trophies made by the members of Art Club.
  8. Get pumped for the complementary intermission snacks. Who doesn’t like lasagne?
  9. Learn to handle disappointment. There will probably only be popcorn. Also there’s no number 10.
