The NSPA has announced their Pacemaker Finalists for 2017.  The Little Hawk made the cut and was the only publication in Iowa to be selected.

“Last year The Little Hawk staff really pushed themselves to cover issues that were important to students and teenagers,” Jonathan Rogers, Advisor of The Little Hawk, said, “from new immigrants to political protests to an entertaining food issue.  They prided themselves on being journalists, seeking truth, and telling stories that mattered.”

The Little Hawk will find out the results at the national journalism conference in Dallas in November.  All of last year’s issues can be viewed on TheLittleHawk.com.
