On December 6th, City High debuted their bands at their first concert of the year. Dr. McReynolds premiered his two bands, Concert band and Wind Ensemble. Mr. Ottmar also showed his first works back at City with Symphonic Band. The concert included tunes ranging from forgotten rhapsodies to broad marches, featuring many soloists throughout the pieces.

“This concert was really important to me because it was the first concert of my senior year. It made me look back on all the years that I have worked with this band,” said Mina Takahashi ’18, one of Wind Ensemble’s top clarinets. “I loved working on all of this hard music with great people.”
