Invested in the workings of City High’s very own bureaucracy? You’ve come to the right place.

The Student Senate meeting on Wednesday, August 29 began with the Senate splitting into committees for homecoming weekend: the dance committee, the parade committee, the Powderpuff and Homecoming Court committee, and the tailgating committee.

These homecoming functions must be performed in advance in order for everything to work as planned. Senate will spend the next few weeks finalizing arrangements.

Zoë Butler ’19 presented a design for new Student Senate T-shirts and the Senate debated possible colors for the design.

The topic of homecoming dance themes then came to the table. The Senate voted on “High School Musical,” based on the Wildcats, City High’s opponents in the homecoming game.

The Student Senate meets every Wednesday from 8:15-8:45 in room 3311. To learn more, please attend meetings, which are open to all students.
