Friday, January 13th, Congressman Dave Loebsack gave insights into politics and his life.
“Some of the questions were tought, but he did what he could in a professional manner,” Max Friedman, A.P. Government student, said.
In the City High Little Theater a versatile group of students ranging from Economics to American Studies to A.P. Government students listened to insights of what it is like being a member of congress.
In 50 minutes he addressed his years as a congressman and also fielded some questions from the audience.
The questions themselves were extremely varied and quite detailed, ranging from hypothetical situations involving Mitt Romney winning the presidency to asking congressman Loebsack if he believes kids of this generation were going downhill in terms of politeness and state of being.
Many students were not content with some of the answers.
“I think that Loebsack is a perfect example of a degenerate politician that didn’t answer the students’ questions and most of the answers that he did were fluffy,” Kieran Green, A.P. Government student, said.
