The Little Hawks beat the Washington Warriors in the last away dual meet of the season on Tuesday. While junior varsity lost 91-76, varsity won 119-67 against the Warriors.

“I thought it was really good that we won,” Avra Lauer ‘23 said. “I think the pool also helped me, since the layout was the same as [Cedar Rapids Jefferson’s] pool.”

Cedar Rapids Washington celebrated their senior night with a ceremony at the beginning of the meet, commemorating the graduating seniors.

“I’m a little sad, since this is our last away dual,” Trinity Sadecky ‘20 said. “But it’s also exciting since we have our senior night coming up soon and we have an awesome senior relay lined up.”

The win concludes the away dual meets, and leaves the rest of the season open for improvement.

“We’re in a good place right now,” Sadecky said. “I’m happy with how we did and I know most of the girls are too.”
