Through high winds and low temperatures, the Little Hawk golf team had some upsides and downs to the third MVC divisional meet at Pleasant Valley golf course.

They finished 6th scoring 338 in the 3rd divisional meet, and throughout all three meets they finished 6th. Leading them in scoring with a season low of 81 and getting fourth in the meet was Ethan Nace ‘24. The rest of the scores making the top four was an 83 from Jack Rogers ‘26, 85 from Nick Meredith ‘25, and an 88 from Drake Obermueller ‘25.

“The conditions were very rough out there, but I fought through and made some big putts down the stretch to secure a solid round. I had a double bogey but bounced back with three straight pars,” Ethan Nace ‘24 said.

The team also had a couple of players make All-Conference. Making the MVC All-Conference honorable mention team was Ethan Nace ‘24 and Zach Meredith ‘25. Making the MVC All-Conference first team was Jack Rogers ‘26.

“It was a big accomplishment after my freshman year barely breaking 100 to now consistently being in the 80’s and making an All Conference team,” Zach Meredith ‘25 said.

The state qualifier is just a week away and Jack Rogers ‘26 says the team is preparing for the post-season.

“Although I made first team All Conference and we had a couple others making Honorable Mention, we were not very proud of our performance at the meet. They only take three teams from our qualifying location and we are in one of the hardest locations. We are all going to have to be in the 70’s to have a chance at making it, which I think is achievable. We are going to work hard all week and give our all on Monday.”
