Last night was the annual Little Hawk Invite cross country meet, hosted by the City High Cross Country team. The boys cross country team placed 4th with a total score of 68. Finishing ahead of them was West high, Dubuque Hempstead and Bettendorf. Leading the boys varsity for City High was Matthew Dodge ‘17 with a time of 16:50 and placing 10th overall, then came Joel Bender ‘15, Michael Berg ‘17, Tom McDowell ‘16, Jarrett Purdy ‘15, Quenton Max ‘18, and Michael Taylor ‘18 for the City High boys.

Mary Arch ‘17, led the City High girls cross country team, last night. She won the varsity race with a time of 15:12. Senior, Molly Shepherd followed shortly after with a time of 15:32 and placing 5th. Followed by Madeline Deninger ‘17, Emily Bywater ‘17, Hazel Crew ‘15, Laura Cornell ‘16, and Mollie Hansen ‘17. The girls cross country team finished third place overall with score of 55. SE Polk, only 2 points ahead of them, and Bettendorf winning the meet with a score of 41.
