At the Iowa All-State Festival in Ames, students auditioned to become part of All-State Orchestra, Band, and Choir. 22 students from CHS were selected this year in the respective categories:
From the Orchestra: Anna Kalkjan, Annie Hartley, Maria McCoy, Holiliday Bender, Sophia Optiz, Doron Tschor, Boris Perkounkov (alt)*, Juju Wang (alt)
From the Band: Sylvia Dean, Brennan Nelson, Brian Pringle, Zach Williamson
From the Choir: Mary Rethwisch, Taylor Dengler, Amy Ostrem, Elena Foster, Amber Slater-Scott, Calvin Windschitl, David Maize, Avery Mossman, Austin Berry, Michael Gloer, Hank Welter, Sebastian Surom, Jason Arnold (alt)
The aforementioned students will practice advanced music and perform with a selective group of students from around the state.
