City High’s Political Awareness Club is now selling button pins to raise money for The White Helmets, an organization that carries out search-and-rescue operations to help those in Syria caught in bombings. The button pins bear the slogan, “A City That Loves.”

“I absolutely love the organization,” Political Awareness Club member Lucy McGehee ’17 said. “I am really proud of our school and our community for doing this, especially at a time when people need to take action because our government might not.”

The pins may be purchased during lunch for $2. Buttons will also be sold at West High.
