The Little Hawk Wrestlers have faced many obstacles with competition this season, but things began to turn around on Thursday, February, 6. Junior varsity wrestlers went out against the West High Trojans, and Varsity wrestlers against Waterloo East. Junior Varsity took home the win from facing many double forfeits from the Trojans, giving them the advantage, with a final score of 42-18.

The Little Hawk varsity wrestlers celebrated this year’s senior night by being with their family members and highlighting their accomplishments during their time as part of the team. To end the night, the varsity team beat Waterloo East with a score of 68-12 on their last duel.

“I’ve done a lot of hard warm-ups and drills to prepare for this meet,” said JV wrestler Cameron Lacina ‘22.

JV wrestler Diego Salinas ‘22 believes the Little Hawks have had a pretty good season so far, but can always improve for next year by working harder and putting in more effort.
